INVESTMENT and Planning Services general manager Anthony Ritter and home loans director Paul Wright said the First Home Saver Accounts announced in the budget was a fantastic initiative.

Anthony said in the follow-up to the First Home Buyer Expo, which the business ran in April, they came across many people who were struggling to come to terms with how they would ever afford their first home.

Paul said he hoped young people would realise the accounts were a stepping stone towards owning their first home.
